How to attach the wooden dowel
YouTube video tutorial - 3:44 - How to attach wooden dowel
Once you are done with your last stitch of this wall hanging, leave a long tail (5x of the dowel length). With this tail you will attach the wood dowel. Thread your tail through a needle and start to sew around the wood dowel into every stitch across your last row of the wall hanging. Secure it and weave in the tail. You can also make a little loop out of the yarn and attach it in the middle of your wall hanging so you can hang it on your wall.
FRINGE (optional)
YouTube video tutorial - 3:44 - How to attach fringes
I attach only one folded string at the bottom of the wall hanging through the each stitch. If you'd like the fringe richer, you can use more strings for one stitch.
For video tutorial how to attach the fringe, visit this link of my YouTube video where I explain how to do so.
- cut about 10" long strings out of your yarn (or any length you desire for the fringe)
- fold one string on half
- grab your hook and insert it to the first stitch at the bottom
- grab one string and fold it on half and then put it on your hook and pull up the loop
- you put the tails over the hook and pull them through the loop
- tight it and you have your first fringe attached
I hope you liked my pattern; you're welcome to leave a comment or share it with others!
